About Swami Ghananand Foundation

The Swami Ghananand Foundation was established in 2016 in honour of His Holiness Swami Ghananand Saraswati, the first Black African Hindu monk of the Holy Order of Sannyasi, following his attainment of Mahasamadhi on January 18, 2016.

As a spiritual teacher, philosopher, and visionary leader, Swami Ghananand played a pioneering role in establishing and contextualising the Hindu Dharma in Ghana and across Africa.

The Foundation serves as the living legacy of his spiritual mission, dedicated to preserving and promoting the universal values of love, devotion, inclusivity, and the practical application of dharma.

Rooted in his teachings, the Foundation fosters intercultural harmony, spiritual education, and community well-being.

Mission
